Alex Righetto is an artist of Italian origin, born and raised in Verona, the city of love. Since a young age, he was drawn to the arts and spent countless hours sketching and painting. As he grew older, Alex realized that his passion for the arts was not just a passing hobby, but his life's calling. He attended the prestigious Academy of Fine Arts in Verona, where he was exposed to the beauty of the Renaissance period, which greatly influenced his artistic style and approach.

After graduation, Alex spent several years pursuing a different career while relegating art to a side job. Eventually, he gave up on it altogether, falling prey to the belief that one cannot sustain oneself as a full-time artist. However, twenty years later, on a whim, he sketched Anastacia, not knowing that it would mark a significant turning point in his life. It became a personal renaissance, his rebirth as an artist. With the support of his wife Stacy, Alex confronted his insecurities and took the plunge, reigniting his passion for art.
Since then, Alex has dedicated himself to honing his craft and refining his skills. He is passionate about inspiring others and believes that his artistic career was just one stroke of the brush away from the moment he gave up on it. Alex has achieved great success, with his first painting selling for $6000, shattering the myth that 'you can't survive as an artist.'
One of the key topics that greatly fascinates Alex as an artist is the Renaissance period. The word Renaissance translates to 'rebirth,' and it marked a pivotal moment in history that signaled the transition from the Middle Ages to modernity. What particularly intrigues Alex about this period is that it started in his home country of Italy. It is part of his heritage and deeply ingrained in his own culture.
Alex believes that the Renaissance serves as a perfect example of how the power of creativity and innovation can be harnessed to drive significant change. As artists, we have the ability to use our creativity and talent to shape our world and inspire others to do the same. The Renaissance is a testament to the transformative power of art and serves as a timeless reminder of the limitless potential of human creativity.
Alex draws inspiration from every experience, be it his personal life, relationships, or otherwise. For instance, the first painting he sold was inspired by his grandfather's story. He was drafted into the army and sent to Russia as part of Germany's ill-conceived plan to invade other countries. In order to save his own life, he had to trek back home, a distance equivalent to walking from New York to Miami.
One of the key themes that Alex explores in his art is relationships, inspired by his own journey and failures in keeping a healthy relationship. He created his own version of Romeo and Juliet, which is not about finding the perfect love but the journey each individual takes to sustain a relationship. Alex believes that art can serve as a catalyst for change and strives to use his art to bring about positive transformations in the world. By exploring new techniques and subject matters, he hopes to push the boundaries of what is possible and contribute to the ever-expanding dialogue surrounding art.
In addition to his explorations of the Renaissance and relationships in his artwork, Alex Righetto has also created a second project called 'The Mona Lisa's Daughter.' This project is a fictional character that Alex has invented to explore the question, 'What if the Mona Lisa had a daughter?' Through this project, Alex aims to challenge people's perceptions and inspire their imaginations.

By creating a fictional character related to one of the most famous artworks in the world, Alex is demonstrating the power of art to spark creativity and new ideas. He is also pushing the boundaries of traditional artwork by incorporating storytelling and imagination into his art practice.
Alex's dedication to his craft and willingness to explore new ideas and techniques have led to his success as an artist. He serves as a shining example of how following one's passion can lead to great achievement and personal fulfillment. Through his work, Alex inspires others to pursue their own creative passions and harness the transformative power of art to bring about positive change in the world.
