Ariel Kaye is the founder of Parachute, a home and lifestyle brand focused on creating a culture committed to wellness and social responsibility. Since launching in 2014, Ariel has evolved Parachute from a small digitally-native offering of premium bedding into a beloved lifestyle brand with best-selling essentials for every room in the house and 20 brick-and-mortar locations across the country, as well as a recent retail expansion into the Canadian market with Hudson's Bay Company. In this episode, Ariel talks about the importance of asking for help and building community as an entrepreneur, why she always looks to consumer feedback when making a decision, and her passion for cultivating beautiful and sustainable spaces.
"I'm really passionate about creating beautiful spaces," says Ariel Kaye, founder of home and lifestyle brand Parachute, which she founded in 2014 after realizing that she and her peers were having trouble finding cozy, quality sheets to furnish their post-college apartments. Since then, Parachute has become an industry disruptor in the home and textile space, evolving into a lifestyle brand which provides essentials for all rooms in the home. In nine years, Parachute has earned $150 million, added 20 brick-and-mortar locations across the U.S. to its direct-to-consumer model, and expanded into the Canadian market with the Hudson's Bay Company. The brand is dedicated to sustainability and climate neutral certification as well as to cultivating wellness and kindness.
